Funny Stuff

Thursday, June 8th, 2006

Hey, now don’t go stealin’ my ideas here, but I thought I’d share what I had some ideas for.

I was discussing funny stuff with my mom over breakfast this morning.  I told her about what I think every time I see the matchbook that says Tony Roma’s : A place for ribs.  Now I can’t tell you what I’m going to make it say, but I’ll release a shirt probably that has a funny twist for gamers.

I was thinking that I could start making stuff that has cool funny twists on things for gamers and geeks and sell it online and what-not.

Anyway I better go journal those ideas now.

How to Exercise Your Eyes - WikiHow

Hmm, I just came across this through somebody’s weird google notebook that was public.  I started reading it and thought to myself 2 things:

1) I don’t think my eyes need help right now.
2) I don’t think I’ll ever spend the time really doing this or finishing reading it.

Now, having said that, maybe I will…but it seems like there’s a lot of useful stuff out there that you can only do so many of them.  I have plenty of other things to do.

The WHY day Part 2.

Sunday, June 4th, 2006

Well yesterday turned out to be just fine!

I went into town and the PLP was closed wouldn’t you know.  So well, I hung out at Dawn’s for a while.  I had a cup of coffee (for free of course), and chatted a little.  Then I went on my way to go to Cool Beans, and on the way I found Aaron and Natalie.  So I stopped and talked to them for a bit.  Turned out that they wanted to go Walmart.  Wouldn’t you know it, ..haha - if I had just gone by myself it wouldn’t have been near so fun and I wouldn’t probably have run into them.  So they had stuff to do and then we would meet later at the 24 hour parking lot.

*Just a minute, need to get my coffee*

Ok.  So after I was done talking with them, I went to Cool Beans.  I asked them if they’d make me a half of a 16 OZ Milk Shake and only charge me half.  Well, so they got me the milk shake and I was talking to Lee’s son Garette (I think that is his name) about his computer.  Well, all of a sudden a guy about my age started gettin in on the conversation and said that he was a computer geek.  Well shoot, OLSON & IVES is looking for a computer geek to take my place.

So I got to talking to him, Dan, and he’s working in construction he says.  Well, geeze, he ought to be working full time as a computer geek!  So I told him about the job and he mentioned that he’s a webmaster.  We talked more and he’s done upgrades and what-not …in fact his x-girlfriend had taken his Radeon video card out of his computer and put it into hers to use for a video game.  Sounds like he’s into gaming a little bit.  So ya, he’s into all the same types of 3D games I am.

So after talking about an hour with Dan, he’s an interesting guy.  He sounds like he could be smart enough for doing the work I do.  I just hope that the right person gets the job though.  I hope that they get it soon too so I know who it is and so OLSON & IVES will get him trained asap and they’ll be better off.

Well so anyway, afterward Cool Beans was closing and so I was figuring out how to pay for the shake.  I didn’t have any cash on me..but then Lee came out and said it was on the house!  What a guy!
I went directly from Cool Beans to walk Shalom around the park and in town.  That was a good walk.  I needed it.  So afterward, I listened to theblend in my car and was thoroughly rocked.  Then Aaron and Natalie and myself went to Walmart and rocked HARD with mudvayne and then other cds he bought on the way back.

I found birthday presents for Shane and for Courtney, and I found myself a couple neat things.  I got a new watch …this one isn’t like the others.  Its way nicer.  It has a large round display like a normal watch, but its digital.  The backlighting is in different colors and very clear.  This watch actually has a TIMER!  In fact, it has 2 or 3 different kinds of timers too!  That, and its got 5 alarm clocks.  Man its so nifty.  Plus I got a new beanbag chair thats really comfy.  Actually its not beans at all …its more like little packing foam peanuts or something.  WAY more comfortable.

Thats it for now.  I should be journaling this instead of blogging it, but I figured since I blogged on yesterday and it wasn’t so happy sounding…

A WHY kind of day..

Saturday, June 3rd, 2006

Man,

I guess I do best being with other people because today I feel directionless.  I want to do something, but there seems to lack any real point.  I know that I want to get a birthday present for some friends who’s birthdays there are.  I should get my dad a father’s day present too.  Oh, well its not until the 18th so no big deal.  Hmm, wouldn’t hurt to get it early.. Well now…what am I to do..?

I have this feeling like I want to go to Walmart, and get gifts.  What else would I do though?  And do I need to do it there?  Because I wan’t to keep the miles down on my car until I go to the coast.  AGH!

Don’t you just feel my frustration?  Is it that bad?  It can’t be.  Its just that I’m not sure what I’m doing today.  Here it is, 12:30 already.  I can make the most of the rest of this day, but I should start as soon as possible.  I should get a shower and then eat the rest of my sandwich from the other night.  Then I should go into town.  Maybe I can stop at the PLP and hang out there for a little bit.  After that, well …who knows.  I bet I can find a present for Shane at th PLP or something.  Ok, its beginning to come together.

I’ll get the mail.  I’ll maybe come back and do some tutorials.  My plan is partially done, …the rest will come to me later.  I’ll start with this.  This is good.  Yeah.
